Majors Chee Kwee and Annie

Greetings to all of you!
My name is Susie Lim, the Chaplain for both LSP (TSA – Bukit Batok) and LSP (TSA – Bukit Panjang), deployed by The Salvation Army, William Booth Corps. Michael Lau, my fellow colleague is the other Chaplain who is alternating the shift with me since last year. We conduct four sessions of morning assembly per week in both centres. Children, teachers, principals and staff are all very familiar with us as we are like a big family. It is a great joy to share, teach, and interact with the little ones (ages from 18 months to 6 years old) on Christian Values and Good Character through stories from the Bible, to spur and encourage them to work hard and develop their character so that they can grow up to be good and responsible citizens of Singapore. Besides that, I would also spend some time listening to the little ones and the prayer needs of the staff. I would pray for them as well as bring the prayer pointers up to my church’s team to pray (strictly kept confidential).
I am married with two kids, aged 20+ and 18+. About three years ago, I resigned from my role as a principal cum teacher at a Christian Child Care Centre to join The Salvation Army at William Booth Corps as a full-time Community Services Coordinator. I have been attending this church for more than twenty over years. I serve in the church as a Volunteer Sunday School Teacher in the Children’s Ministry. I am also serving in the Flower Ministry, doing the flower arrangement/offering for my church every Sunday to beautify the altar for the glory of God. Being a Community Services Coordinator, I am deployed by the church to connect and build relationships with different groups of communities of different backgrounds and cultures. I also serve at The Salvation Army William Booth Corps @ Bukit Panjang Student Care Centre, CDE (Centre for Domestic Employees) – a shelter for abused domestic workers, and The Salvation Army, Haven Children’s Home. Planning programs, schedules, special events and mentoring new recruits/volunteers are also part of my role as well. Attached my email and reachable contact should you need some assistance. God bless.

Michael Lau serves in the Salvation Army William Booth Corps (Church) at Upper Bukit Timah as the Assistant Corps Leader in full-time ministry. He has family spread far and wide, in the Philippines, the United States and in New Zealand. Lego is his favourite pastime during which he finds many inspirational times with God.
